How we build it
Permissions in retrieval
Access control is enforced when documents are retrieved, not by instructing the model to be careful. A prompt is not an access control.
Citations on every answer
Every answer links to the source passages, so the reader can verify rather than trust.
Freshness handling
Superseded documents are demoted or excluded, because a confidently cited answer from a retired policy is the most damaging failure mode here.
Runs on your infrastructure
Your entire internal corpus is exactly the material you would least like to send to a third party.

Common questions
Which systems can it index?
Typically file shares, SharePoint, Confluence, ticketing systems and email archives. The integration work is usually straightforward; the permission mapping is the part that takes the time and the part that matters.
How do you stop it citing an out-of-date policy?
Recency and supersession metadata are part of the retrieval ranking, and retired documents can be excluded outright. This needs someone on your side to own document lifecycle, which is usually the real project.
