Engineers, Not Resellers

Most AI consulting sits in one of two places: strategy decks from firms that do not build, or implementation from partners who resell a platform and are paid to recommend it. Neither is much use to an organization whose real constraint is that its data cannot leave the building.

We sit in the third place. We do the strategy work and we write the code, and because we do not resell anything and take no vendor commissions, the architecture recommendation is not influenced by who pays us. Sometimes the honest recommendation is that you do not need a consultant, or that a cloud API is fine for your use case. We would rather say that than bill for a deployment you did not need.

The work that finds us most often involves a constraint: a regulation, a client contract, a government accreditation boundary, or a cost curve where per-token pricing has stopped making sense. That is why so much of what we build runs on open-weight models on the client's own hardware.
