Deterministic where it can be
Control flow is code. The model is used for the judgment steps that genuinely need judgment, which is far fewer steps than most agent architectures assume.
Approval gates on irreversible actions
Anything that spends money, sends externally or cannot be undone stops for a human. This is a structural boundary, not a configuration option.
Full action audit trail
Every tool call, input and output is logged. If nobody can reconstruct what the agent did, it should not be running in your business.
Scoped tool access
Agents get the narrowest set of permissions the task requires, on the assumption that they will eventually do something unexpected.

Common questions
Is this just workflow automation with extra steps?
For a lot of workflows, honestly, yes, and that is the right answer. If a task is fully specifiable in rules, rules are cheaper, faster and more reliable than a model. Agents earn their place where a step needs judgment over unstructured input. We will tell you when that is not the case.
